Rejuvenating the Rods!
looks like the item just keeps the rods upright and tied together from the left side of weights to the right side. Why couldn't someone just use a strong ratchet strap and strap them all together, Looks like its the same concept of tying them all together upright??!

Not Bad For The Price,Could Be Better
This product is very easy to use. You simply snap your rods into them when you are done working out and it will keep them strait so they are good to go for the next session. It does what it is designed to do, but to be honest, it sould be much better. The unit is flexible when there is no need for...

Does the job

I had my machine and Rod Rejuvenator for a couple of years and the rejuvenator works as it should. As stated before by other reviewers it hold the rods securely and can be a little difficult to unlatch. Over time this has not changed. There's a little trick to snapping them out that with a little practice you can make it a little easier. It holds the rods straight and it looks great on the machine when all is said and done. My rods look and feel the same as the day I recieved them and that was over 2 years ago.

Thank you, Stan! We really appreciate the review, and glad to hear that the Rejuvenator is keeping your power rods nice and straight! -- Bowflex Team
Great way to keep rods strength..

A must if you buy power rod system. I wish I had bought with my system. I am sure if I had bought right away my rods would be stiffer. Little hard getting rods in and out but worth the effort. I would buy again.
A definite plus to maintain resistance of the power rods!

Great way to preserve the resistance of the power rods, just snap them back when you finish your workout. Makes choosing your resistance easy too!
Very flawed product
It should be simple to make a product that neatly organizes the Extreme 2's rods, looks great, and is simple to operate. Unfortunately, Bowflex nailed only 2 out of 3: the most important one (being simple to operate) is a swing and a miss. Sure, this colorful little gizmo looks great and does a nice job of organizing and rejuvenating the rods after a workout. But after a month of using it, it never got any easier to remove the rods (particularly the bigger ones) from the jaws of the holder. I can't tell you how many times I've scraped my knuckles fighting with this thing. The bottom line: I've gone back to the handy little piece of velcro that came with the Extreme. It doesn't look as slick, but it sure is easier and less painful to use.

Will this actually restore rod resistance? or just keep them from weakening initially? I bought a used machine and the rods provide very little resistance and I am hoping this can restore them back to full resistance.

- Verified Reply - MistyHello Sam! This is not meant to restore the power rods. It is used to help them from losing resistance. -Bowflex Team Was this answer helpful to you

I do not have a question per se about the Power Rod Rejuvenator, but about the power rods themself. I have the 310 lbs kit on my Bowflex, (Not sure of the model, it has lat pull down, row seat, leg extension, etc. and was purchased NEW in 2007) I have noticed a considerable loss of resistance in the power rods and I am wondering if there is an exchange program still available? Thanks in advance.

- Verified Reply - BowflexHello Todd! Over time with use, the rods do loose tension, hence our Power Rod Rejuvenator product to add more life to your rods. For 9 years of use, I would have to say that your rods have held up pretty good! For basic wear, we do not replace rods, however if you feel that the rods may need to be replaced due to frequent use over the years and that the Power Rod Rejuvenator may not be able to assist, please feel free to give us a call at 800-605-3369 M to F between 6am and 5pm PST and we can help you with that! Was this answer helpful to you

My power rods are bent and actually hit the machine during use. Will the rod rejuvenator help to fix this or is it just prevenitive?
- Asked by
- Open Reply - RCWe suggest using the Rod Rejuvenator and the rod binding strap together to get the rods as close to vertical as possible, for as long a period as possible (while not in use). Generally they should be able to be coaxed back to mostly straight even if they have been very bent for a long timeWas this answer helpful to you

Where is the best placement for the rejuvenator when the rods are not in use. Should I be concerned about how I place the rods in each slot?

- Q
Would it be permissible to turn the block of power rods around (i.e. swap ends the small and large rods are facing) to bend them the opposite direction when they seem to be losing strength?
- Asked by Larry
- Open Reply - RCDo not turn the rod box around, the machines have not been tested in this configuration and it is not recommended. It would be considered modifying the machine, which will void the warranty. Additionally, the rods would rotate in the housing and would not bend in the opposite direction as described. Using the rod rejuvenator after every workout is the best way to maintain the rods. Was this answer helpful to you
