Permanently Disabled Wounded Warrior

What an amazing machine! I am a permanently disabled combat veteran with multiple injuries throughout my entire body. My body weight was getting out of control and my muscle build was deteriorating at an alarming rate. Between all the medications and the constant pain, I was spiraling down the rabbi...

Good, with some flaws

Machine functions great, doesn't take up as much room a single I had first thought it would which is great. The rod system works well, variety of exercises is pretty good. The initial 210lbs that comes with it is far less than it should, smaller rods are so flimsy and feel like nothing but seems it...

I use it based on a prepared workout schedule I created ahead of time. This machine is super versatile and doesn't disappoint in that category. I also enjoy that it's very low impact on joints as compared to free weights or other gym systems on the market. It is very expensive though, so I'd wait for a sale to come up! #sweepstakes

I am using this to build strength. I am in the mountains and don't have access to a gym < 50miles. This is a perfect supplement to my walking and running. I am looking to even add the elliptical in 2025.

It's great for some exercizes I was not previously able to do at home. For some of the other basic moves (eg bicep curls) I'll stick to my old dumbells. Assembly instructions were pretty great, though there were a couple moments when things weren't found where instructions said they were. And the manual describing the exercises seem to be from a different model, which caused me quite a bit of confusion at first.

Allows convenience of working out at home. Reasonable trade off compared to gym. Had Maxtrainer for four years before purchase. Very satisfied so far.

This replaced an Olympic bench press in my garage. For the same space that i was only able to bench press, i have access to many more exercises. 210 lbs of resistance is NOT enough, and i have almost maxed the machine out in a short time. I would have liked to see the example exercises traverse two sheets so i could hang them up in my garage. Besides those two things, I'm very happy with this home gym in my garage. Beware, resistance and weight training, are not the same. Learning new exercises and variations has been fun. I use my machine daily.

Q

Hi! After one year of usage (around 4 hours a week) of my Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym, I notice that some nuts were not tight enough comparatively as to when initially assembled. Is there a guideline on when and what is the tightening torque to be used for each bolt/nut?

Asked by Claude G. D.
Verified Reply - MorganHello! We don't have a specific torque guideline, and there is no torque amount that would stay the same for a year. The machine moves and flexes so things loosen up over time. Regularly check for worn or loose components prior to each use. Besides a visual inspection, I would definitely at least use a wrench to make sure everything is tight monthly. Was this answer helpful to you

Q

I am looking at buying one for my basement. I have an area of the basement where the ceiling is recessed, 45" x 50" x 84" (H). While this is the recessed ceiling dimension, the basement area (including where the recessed ceiling is) is wide open with more than 8' x 6.5' of space. Basically, I need to know if the machine height and everything installed up that high will fit into a space that's 84" high x 45" x 50", but below the few inches deep of the recessed ceiling area, a completely open area.

Can I double up on the power rods for resistance? For example, instead of a 30 or 50 lb power rod. Can I do 30 and a 10 to make a 40 lb resistance?

1 Power Rod® Resistance Rods are manufactured using nylon composite material. The weight resistance measurements are estimates and resistance can vary based on environmental and usage patterns and other factors. Rod resistance will normally degrade over time and after extensive usage. If you have any questions regarding the resistance of your Power Rod® Resistance Rods, contact our BowFlex Customer Service department for assistance.
